Welcome to Sonia Voyage!🌻
Hey, are you okay? Had you have a drink today? I want all readers who come here to be healthy and happy❤
Let’s talk about poetry. Some people think it’s just a bunch of fancy words, but for me, poetry is like music made out of feelings, no instruments required, just your imagination. You see, poetry is all about expressing yourself, turning everyday moments into something magical.
Believe it or not, I wrote my first poem back when I was in Elementary School. I was just a kid with a notebook, trying to make sense of the world around me. And guess what? That simple little poem became the spark that lit my passion for writing.
Poetry doesn't need to be perfect or complicated, it's your personal canvas where you can splash your thoughts and emotions freely. So, if you’ve ever thought about writing poetry but felt too shy or unsure, I’m here to tell you, GO FOR IT! Poetry is for everyone, and trust me, once you start, you’ll find it’s more fun than you might think.
Now, without further ado, here’s a look at the very first English poem I ever penned. Let’s dive into the words that began my poetic journey!
Candle Light
by Uni Sonia Yulianti
When I try to talk
The nature start to walk
They come and lock
Ignoring a small white in the black
You should run and catch the light
Before it will sink in the ocean
Because only submarine is not enough
Especially swimming by your own
Need a help
But no one care it
I scream
But no one hear it
Never stop to living
Because I lead my life
Always shining in the dark
Like a candle in the night
ANALYSYS OF THE POEM
"When I try to talk, The nature start to walk"
Whenever the speaker tries to express themselves, it feels as if nature comes alive, possibly symbolizing that the world reacts in unexpected or overwhelming ways.
"They come and lock, Ignoring a small white in the black"
"They" might refer to societal pressures or challenges that restrict the speaker, overlooking the purity or innocence ("small white") in the midst of darkness or adversity.
"You should run and catch the light, Before it will sink in the ocean"
The speaker encourages taking action to seize opportunities ("light") before they disappear or are lost ("sink in the ocean").
"Because only submarine is not enough, Especially swimming by your own"
Merely having tools or resources (like a submarine) isn't sufficient. Facing challenges alone ("swimming by your own") can be daunting, implying that support is essential.
"Need a help, But no one care it"
The speaker acknowledges needing help but feels ignored or neglected by others.
"I scream, But no one hear it"
Despite the speaker's attempts to be heard or noticed, their cries for help go unanswered, highlighting a sense of isolation.
"Never stop to living, Because I lead my life"
The speaker resolves to keep going, affirming their control and determination over their own life.
"Always shining in the dark, Like a candle in the night"
The speaker sees themselves as a source of light or hope, persevering through difficult times, much like a candle that continues to burn in the darkness.
Overall Analysis
The poem delves into themes of isolation, struggle, and resilience. The speaker feels ignored and trapped, symbolized by nature's indifference and societal pressures. Despite efforts to express themselves and seek help, their cries go unheard, intensifying their sense of loneliness. However, the poem also conveys a message of determination. The speaker advises seizing opportunities before they vanish and acknowledges that while support is vital, one must also rely on their own strength. Ultimately, the poem reflects the journey from feeling neglected to embracing self-reliance and continuing to live despite challenges.
