Welcome to Sonia Voyage!🌻

My name is Uni Sonia Yulianti, but my friends call me Uni or just Sonia. And guess what? You’re reading my very first blog post! That’s right! This is where it all begins.


So, a little about me!

I’ve been in love with writing since I was 6 years old. Back then, while other kids were busy figuring out how to ride a bike without crashing into every lamppost, I was crafting my first story. It was about a kid fishing by the river, and let me tell you, it was a masterpiece. Well, sort of. The real masterpiece was how I managed to write the entire thing backward from the bottom of the page to the top. Maybe I was trying to be edgy, or maybe I was just confused about how paper works. But hey, it’s the thought that counts, right?

Fast forward to today, and writing is still my jam. I love playing with words, whether it’s through poetry, short stories, or even this very blog post you’re reading. Apart from writing, I also enjoy belting out tunes (sometimes to the dismay of my neighbors), playing the violin (it’s basically like giving my cat a voice), diving into a good book, and whipping up something delicious in the kitchen (though I can’t guarantee it’s always edible).

Now, I’ve always wanted to start a blog, but I kept putting it off. Why? Because I wanted my first post to be perfect something that would make people laugh, cry, and maybe even question their life choices. But then I realized, perfection is overrated. Sometimes, you just have to dive in and see where the words take you. So here I am, diving headfirst into the world of blogging. 

This blog will be a space for me to share my thoughts, stories, and maybe even a few cooking disasters (because let’s be real, who doesn’t love a good kitchen fail?). I hope you’ll stick around and join me on this wild ride. Who knows? We might even learn something along the way.

When Time Flashes Back: Poetry Analysis (Not in a Hurry)

Hey there! Welcome back to Sonia Voyage! 🌻 Don't forget to have a drink, okay? Well, here we are in 2025, and believe it or not, this is my first poem of the year. I haven’t written anything since January. Kinda wild, right? But tonight, I had this sudden flashback to something pretty memorable. It was one of those nights that just sticks with you. Sitting by the river, talking to someone who made everything feel… different. The night was calm, the air was cool, and for the first time in a while, I didn’t feel the weight of everything. It was just us, lost in conversation, and for a moment, I could almost forget the past. There was this perfect mix of comfort, peace, and vulnerability.
